ABCON A/S is a company based north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The company was founded in 2000 by Jorgen P. Beyer, who by that time had 30 years’ experience in the oil industry. ABCON is specialized in producing and selling high quality additives, that stop leaks and improve the performance of lube oil systems.

There are two product lines.

1. 1. The very popular Stop Leak additives. These additives can stop leaks and water ingress in stern tubes, thrusters, gears, and hydraulic systems. All ABCON Stop Leak additives are based on approved lube oils and a mix of specifically designed teflon (PTFE) particles. This keeps the vessel sailing until planned dry dock.
   2. The second product line are the so called + additives that are designed to reduce wear and tear and are meant to be used as a preventive measure in lube oil systems. They can prevent wear metals and start up damage after extensive down time of equipment.

Both product lines are available for systems with mineral oil and EAL, both saturated and unsaturated EALs. All EAL based products comply with the 2013 EPA VGP requirements.

ABCON MARINE products are delivered as concentrated pastes which reduces transportation cost. All ABCON product have been developed in close cooperation with leading Danish shipping companies. They are delivered to vessels all around the world via courier as they are non-dangerous goods. The products are each year delivered to hundreds of vessels around the world. ABCON provides comprehensive advice for each individual case.
