THRUSTER+ is a hydraulic oil and teflon based paste, which creates a teflon layer on all surfaces, thereby, reduces risk of leakages. It is extremely protecting against wear on bearings and seals. Our ABCON MARINE-THRUSTER+ has successfully demonstrated reduction in wear resulting in a doubling of the overhaul intervals.

Blends Perfectly

When blended with the existing system oil, the blend constitutes an excellent lubrication, which due to the teflon content, maintains the lubricating effect on rubber seal surfaces and on mating metal surfaces even during stand still. In case of longer periods of stand still, the teflon protects the seals/shafts from running warm at start-up, thereby, reducing the risk of damage. If you have saltwater in the hydraulic oil, THRUSTER+ will provide a substantial safety margin as teflon maintains the lubrication properties even in salt water.

THRUSTER+ can be blended with all kinds of mineral and synthetic based hydraulic oils and can be used together with all seal material types.

Bio Based Version

The product is also available in Bio degradable oil based versions with both saturated and unsaterated ester. They all comply with the 2013 EPA VGP requirements as environmentally acceptable.

The product is easy to use and can be applied by the staff on board the vessel.
